Samsung in talks with operators to offer WiMAX services, says report

Samsung is in talks with Indian operators towards enabling delivery of WiMAX services, reports news agency PTI.

 

“The company is in discussion with the operators for deploying the network infrastructure as we have global experience and are looking at leveraging that to the Indian market,” the Samsung Corporate Vice-President (Networks Business), Mr I.D. Hwang, told PTI.

 

The company claims to have generated $ 720 million revenues from WiMAX services across the globe.
